Verifactu software without changing the way you work
Our Verifactu software generates the record for every invoice, chains it with its hash and, with submission switched on, sends it to the Spanish Tax Agency (AEAT). And if you invoice public administrations, you sign and send your Facturae to FACe from the same screen.

Regulations
What is Verifactu: the new way to invoice in Spain
Verifactu is the Spanish Tax Agency’s system that guarantees every invoice is complete, traceable and unalterable. It stems from the Anti-Fraud Law (Law 11/2021) and the Regulation on invoicing software systems (Royal Decree 1007/2023), and requires invoicing software to record every invoice in a chain.
With Enumera’s Verifactu software you don’t have to worry about the technical details: the software generates and chains each record while you keep invoicing as usual.
When will you have to use it? Check the dates and who has to comply.
Integrity
Each record carries a SHA-256 hash that depends on the invoice and the previous record.
Traceability
The records form a chain: if anyone altered an invoice, the chain would give it away.
Transparency
The QR code printed on the invoice lets your customer check it on the AEAT website.
Official deadlines
When is Verifactu mandatory?
According to the AEAT, Royal Decree-law 15/2025 extended the deadline for adapting invoicing software. These are the dates:
1 January 2027
Companies
Entities that file Corporate Income Tax must have their invoicing software adapted before that date.
1 July 2027
Self-employed and everyone else required
All other businesses and professionals, including the self-employed, must adapt before 1 July 2027.
Who has to comply
Businesses and professionals established in Spain who issue invoices with software. However, it doesn’t apply to those who use the SII, those whose tax domicile is in the Basque Country or Navarre, or those who only invoice by hand.

How it works
Verifactu software in four steps.
And only two are yours.
With our Verifactu software you set up your certificate once and, from then on, every invoice you issue complies with Verifactu: its record is generated when you issue it and, with submission switched on, goes to the AEAT automatically.
.p12 / .pfx
Upload your certificate
A legal representative certificate (FNMT), a self-employed certificate, an electronic seal or your accountant’s, if they file for you, all work. It’s stored encrypted and never leaves the server.

Issue the invoice
When you issue it, the record is generated with its hash, chained to the previous one, and the PDF is frozen.

Automatic submission
The record is sent to the AEAT. You see its status on the invoice and, if it’s rejected, the reason and a button to retry.

Differences
Verifactu, Facturae and FACe: what each one is
They’re three different things that are often confused. That’s why we explain what each one is for and how Enumera handles it.
Verifactu
The AEAT system that records every invoice with a chained hash and sends it to the tax authorities.
In Enumera: record on issue, QR on the PDF and automatic submission with your certificate.
Facturae
The signed electronic invoice XML format required by the Spanish public administration.
In Enumera: Facturae 3.2 XML generated from the invoice itself and signed with AutoFirma.
FACe
The general entry point for electronic invoices to Spain’s General State Administration.
In Enumera: submission to FACe and status tracking from the invoice itself.
E-invoicing
Facturae and FACe: hassle-free electronic invoicing to public administrations
Generate the Facturae XML from the invoice itself, sign it with your certificate and send it to FACe. Then track its status without leaving Enumera.
- Facturae 3.2 XML generated from the invoice itself
- Signed with AutoFirma on your computer: your certificate never leaves it
- Submission to FACe and status tracking (registered, paid…)
- DIR3 codes saved in each public body’s record
- Billing period, file number, purchase order and contract of the recipient

FAQ
Questions about Verifactu software
If you can’t find what you’re looking for, write to us and we’ll help.
When is Verifactu mandatory?
According to the AEAT, those who file Corporate Income Tax must have their invoicing software adapted before 1 January 2027. Everyone else required to comply, including the self-employed, has until 1 July 2027. In any case, check your situation with your accountant.
What is sent to the tax authorities with Verifactu?
It’s not the invoice PDF that is sent, but its invoicing record: a summary with its main details, its hash and the link to the previous record. The PDF also carries a QR code to check it on the AEAT website.
How does my customer check that the invoice is registered?
With the QR code printed on the PDF. By scanning it, they can check the invoice on the AEAT website.
Can my accountant send the records with their certificate?
Yes. In Enumera you can upload your accountant’s certificate if they file for you. It’s stored encrypted and never leaves the server.
How much does Enumera’s Verifactu software cost?
Verifactu and Facturae are included in every plan. With the Free plan, free and with no card, you get 6 invoices a month; the Esencial plan (€14.90 a month excluding VAT) includes 40; Profesional (€29.90), 500; and Enterprise (€45.90), unlimited invoices. Compare all the plans.
What’s the difference between Verifactu and Facturae?
They’re different things. Verifactu is the AEAT system whereby every invoice issued or cancelled generates a chained record with its hash, which is sent to the tax authorities. Facturae, on the other hand, is the XML format of the signed electronic invoice, mandatory for invoicing public administrations through FACe. Enumera does both from the same invoice.
Will Enumera support mandatory e-invoicing between businesses?
Yes, we are getting it ready. Spain’s Crea y Crece law will require invoices between businesses to be issued and received electronically through the Spanish Tax Agency (AEAT): from 6 October 2027 if your turnover exceeds €8 million, and from 6 October 2028 in all other cases. Meanwhile, Verifactu and Facturae already work on every plan. Read more in Features.
How do I send an electronic invoice to FACe?
In the customer’s record you switch on “Public entity” and fill in their DIR3 codes. Then, in the draft, you switch on electronic invoicing, issue it and click “Generate Facturae”. Finally, you sign it with AutoFirma on your computer and click “Send to FACe”. You can check its status (registered, paid, rejected…) with “Update status”.
Does Verifactu also work for simplified invoices (receipts)?
Yes. The simplified invoice (type F2) doesn’t require the customer’s tax ID and generates its Verifactu record when issued, like any other invoice. Enumera also applies the maximum amount you set and rejects any that exceed it when you issue them.
What if an invoice has 0% VAT or is exempt?
Verifactu requires you to state the reason and, without it, the invoice can’t be issued. That’s why Enumera lets you choose it in each case: intra-community transaction (with the customer’s VAT number validated in VIES), reverse charge, exempt with its article, or not subject to VAT.
What if the AEAT rejects a record?
You’ll see it on the invoice itself, with the reason, and also in the notifications bell. You correct what’s needed and click “Retry sending”. Enumera never treats a record as sent when it isn’t.
What certificate do I need?
An electronic certificate in .p12 or .pfx format: a legal entity representative certificate (FNMT), a self-employed certificate, an electronic seal or your accountant’s, if they file for you. Enumera checks that the tax ID matches your company’s.
Can I test before sending anything to the tax authorities?
Yes. With Enumera’s Verifactu software you can work in the test environment (the AEAT pre-production environment) to validate your records with no tax effects, and switch to production whenever you want.
How do I correct an invoice that’s already been issued?
With a corrective invoice, by differences or by replacement, choosing the type (R1 to R5) and the reason. If it needs to be voided, it’s cancelled with its reason and the cancellation record is sent.
Are invoices I import from another program sent to Verifactu?
No. Migrated invoices keep their original number and aren’t resent, because they were already declared with your previous program. Only the invoices you issue in Enumera generate their record.
Is Verifactu included in every plan?
Yes. Verifactu submission and Facturae are included in every plan, including the free one, with the number of invoices a month that each plan sets.
